Riders of Icarus Begins its Third Closed Beta

Nexon of America and We Made Entertainment have announced that their upcoming fantasy MMO, Riders of Icarus, will be beginning it’s third and final closed beta. Riders of Icarus is a free to play MMORPG with a focus on taming and training mounts. These include dragons for flying mount combat. The beta will begin in June, so if you’ve always wanted to try out Riders of Icarus, now is your chance. To sign up for the beta, you can do so by clicking this link here.

The beta will be available in Western Europe, North America, Oceania, and Latin America. It will also introduce new gameplay elements, not seen in the previous betas. For those who play, exclusive Silver Dragon or Gold Dragon capes will be rewarded at the launch of open beta. Silver Dragon capes will be for players who participated in one closed beta and Gold Dragon capes will be for those who participated in at least two of the three. The image below is how the capes appear on their website.

Players participating in this closed beta play a crucial role in providing developer feedback. When the closed beta is complete, WeMade will instal changes based on consumer input. Then open beta will begin on July 6. Players who buy one of the Riders of Icarus Founder’s Packs will also be given a seven-day Head Start. This will allow access on June 29.

Since their last closed beta they have worked on improving camera and control movements by adding an action mode. This allows players to rotate their camera simply by moving their mouse. And now they can use crosshairs to target enemies. Besides all this beta goodness, Nexon and We Made have released a new trailer for the game. It features hundreds of mounts players can capture and collect in Riders of Icarus.
