Dead Rising Coming to PS4, PC and Xbox One

It looks like the formerly Xbox 360 exclusive Dead Rising will be heading to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Dead Rising 1

The rumors started when a post showed up on Exophase, listing PSN Trophies for the game. With no official confirmation, it was safe to assume this meant an imminent release for the game. Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls had a similar leak.

Eurogamer reached out to the Capcom concerning this information, and they responded with this statement:

“Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4. We will have more news to share soon.”

It seems that we are getting more than we were expecting. In addition to the original game, its sequel and spin-off will also be joining it in a new release. Considering how Capcom has slowly been releasing  Resident Evil games on PS4 and Xbox One, it wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility that the publisher will do the same with this series.

Capcom has recently put a focus on releasing their library of games on current hardware. Resident Evil and Mega Man are examples of this focus.

The original Dead Rising was released in 2006, creating a staple series for Capcom.
